The new NHS non-emergency 111 number has gone live in Devon today.
It had already replaced the NHS Direct phoneline and has now also replaced the out of hours numbers for GPs' surgeries.
The call-handling service is being gradually taken over by NHS 111 but the clinical care continues to be provided by Devon Doctors.
