An elderly allotment holder in Exeter who was distraught when his shed was destroyed in an arson attack is to have a new one built for him.
A local company heard about Len Short's plight and offered to replace the building and fellow allotment-holders in St Thomas organised a collection to buy him new tools to replace those lost in the fire.
Christine Fraser from the St Thomas Allotments Association says work on the shed's getting underway in the next few days.
