They drew 3-all with league two and Devon rivals Torquay United at St. James Park.
New signings Matt Oakley and Jamie Cureton were both in action.
Cureton was one of the goalscorers, and he's delighted to have re-signed for the club this week after proving his fitness to manager Paul Tisdale
