A man is in custody
Investigations are underway following numerous reports of incdecent exposure and sexual assault in Exeter.
A number of incidents were reported to have taken place between Wednesday 22 October and Monday 11 November on Cheeke Street and Heavitree Road, with many taking place in the hours of darkness.
Police have arrested a 45-year-old man from the city on suspicion of assault in relation to three incident of indecent exposure - he remains in custody.
Detective Inspector Nicky Baker said: “There have been a number of similar reports made to us over recent weeks; as a result, we have been making extensive, targeted enquiries in the area.
“We would urge anyone who has further information to come forward and speak to us. We are aware that incidents of this nature can be worrying and cause concern for the community.
“Officers will remain in the area over the coming days as our enquiries continue, so if anyone does have concerns or has any information, please speak to them.”
