Collides with car; witnesses sought
Police are appealing for witnesses to an early-morning collision in Okehampton on Tuesday that's left a cyclist seriously injured.
Emergency services were called around 6.35am which involved a blue Honda Civic and a bicycle on Holsworthy Road.
The cyclist, a local man in his mid-40s, sustained serious injuries and he was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where he remains. The car driver, a 38-year-old man from Bude, in uninjured. The road was closed for eight-and-a-half hours for a forensic examination of the scene.
Officers are investigating the circumstances and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dash cam to contact them.
