Devon and Cornwall police have revealed that they've disclosed details of 39 paedophiles since the introduction of a new law in April 2011.
The legislation was brought in after Sarah Payne was murdered by a convicted child sex offender and enables people to ask police if anyone who's in contact with children locally is a known paedophile.
The local police force have received a total of 184 applications for that information.
