A woman in her 80s was arrested
A man and a woman have been taken to Torbay Hospital with serious injuries after they were involved in a collision with a car.
Emergency services were called to the A385 at Shinners Bridge where a SEAT Mii had collided with the two pedestrians.
The driver of the SEAT, an 80-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving wihtout due care. She's been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
The road was closed whilst an investigation was carried out.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 quoting log 347 of 7 July.
