Diesel enters water too
Two people were taken to hospital, after having overturned their vehicle just off the main Crediton to Barnstaple road, the A377, south of Umberleigh at Kingford.
One person was trapped inside the vehicle, which was on its side in a stream. The other person had managed to free themselves.
They were cut out by fire crews from South Molton and Barnstaple just after 10 on Sunday morning. A heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor also attended.
Some diesel had entered the water, but it was stemmed downstream by the fire service.
