Plans for the multi million pound redevelopment of Exeter's bus station site have now been received by the city council.
The long-awaited scheme will see the complete demolition and the re-development of Exeter coach station and the creation of additional retail and leisure facilities.
The plans that have been submitted to the local authority include a leisure centre, retails outlets and cinema for the land that is surrounded by Sidwell Street, Cheeke Street and Paris Street.
It is claimed that the redevelopment of the bus station and surrounding area will bring significant economical gains, as well as a range of employment opportunities.
The building work could take two years to complete if permission is granted.
