Details have just been released of a violent attack that took place in Exeter on Valentine's Day that left a woman with a broken jaw.
The victim, who is in her 30s, was assaulted by a male in an alleyway next to KFC on South Street during the day on February the 14th.
The woman was hit in the face, leaving her with serious facial injuries including a broken jaw and loose teeth.
The 37 year old suspect was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and released on police bail.
The police think there were people in the vicinity at the time, they'd also like to hear from someone who ran across the road.
Officers hope that the memorable date may help to jog people memories.
