Police are investigating an assault on a woman who was out running on the canal path in Exeter.
She was between the Port Royal pub and Trews Weir Bridge at about 10 to 8 on a Friday evening earlier this month, when a man approached her from behind and pushed her against the wall.
He ran off when she screamed.
He's descibed as Indian or Asian in appearance, aged 28 to 30 with a slight build and thick wavy dark hair.
Women are being advised not to go out running alone in isolated areas after dark... and to always carry a mobile phone.
