Police in Exeter are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery in Pennsylvania Road.
A 21 year old woman was walking towards Union Road early in the afternoon on Sunday December 6th when a man came up behind her, kicked her ankle causing her to fall forward, and tried to grab her handbag.
He ran off when a car drove up close to them.
The victim wasn't hurt but was left shocked and shaken.
