Police are appealing for the victim of a robbery in Newton Abbot to come forward.
A man took a handbag from a woman at five twenty on Tuesday in Wolborough street, but was detained by a member of the public.
It’s believed she collected her bag, and left before police arrived.
She is described as white, around 50 and slim. She had shoulder length auburn hair and was carrying a large rectangular bag with a shoulder strap.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CR/022220/19.
