Hundreds of people protested in Exmouth last night
It was against plans to sell off a well known seafront landmark.
East Devon District Council is proposing that the Victorian Elizabeth Hall is redeveloped as part of a regeneration of the area.
It has been made available on the open market, but the Council insists any proposals will have to demonstrate how they would enchance and bring prosperity to the area.
Protestors staged a demonstration march and say they will go on fighting to save the Elizabeth Hall.
