Thirty per cent rise in last year
Listening to Radio Exe has hit a new high.
According to new independent figures compiled by research company Ipsos Mori for the industry body Rajar, listening has jumped by 30 per cent in the past year.
Around 100,000 adults now tune to the station ever quarter; and about 75,000 every month.
The average listener tunes in for 8.4 hours a week - up from 5.9 hours last year; and the audience for the station's breakfast show has almost doubled since presenter Matt Rogers moved into the slot in 2021.
The survey only covers around three-quarters of the area Radio Exe reaches; concentrating in Exeter, Mid, East and Torbay - and not the audience in North Devon, Plymouth and its surrounding areas of the South Hams and South East Cornwall.
