If you've been suffering from a winter virus, the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital is asking you to stay away from visiting for at least 48 hours.
Norovirus is often a concern at this time of year, and one ward at the hospital - the Lowman - has been closed. Torridge, Okement and Mere wards are being checked for the virus.
Often known as the winter vomiting bug - norovirus is unpleasant, but most people get over it in days. But it does cause major disruption to hospitals, so the RD&Es infection control team is asking residents to stay away if they can.
