Exeter University's medical school is to continue helping the National Health Service make key decisions by providing evidence to the organisation which decides whether treatments are effective and give good value for money.
The university has had its contract renewed to provide evidence to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.
In the past the team responsible has assessed medications for Alzheimer's Disease and its advice led to more patients benefiting from treatment for mild forms of the condition.
