Campaigners for an area of Exeter parkland to be protected from development by having 'village green' status are continuing their fight.
The designation would prevent the city and county councils from building a road through Eastern Fields, which the authorities say is needed to provide additional access to new housing developments.
The residents living near Eastern Fields have announced that they've submitted an application to appeal against the decision by the planning inspectorate earlier this year not to grant the designation.
They've engaged a specialist QC in London and an environmental firm of solicitors, who will represent them alongside their barrister from the public inquiry.
