Exmouth hero wins lifetime achievement award
Exmouth's former RNLI coxwain, Tim Mock has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement award at the Pride of Devon 2014.
Mr Mock retired at the end of last year after 34 years as a lifeboatman.
At a glittering ceremony in the Vice Presidents' Pavilion at the Devon County show, the Exmouth crew's operations director Kevin Riley picked up the award on Mr Mock's behalf.
Mr Riley said that RNLI crew tend to shun the limelight, prefering to get on with what they do best at sea - but that he was thrilled to be collecting the trophy on behalf of his friend and colleague.
