A major programme of roads resurfacing is about to begin across Devon - with several improvements in this area.
The county council will be carrying out more than 650 thousand pounds worth of work in January and February.
The money's being spent not only on repairing holes in the road but also drainage and other measures to make the surface more resilient.
Locally the improvement work in January will be on Western Way in Exeter, Bickleigh Bridge, and East Street in Crediton ... in February there'll be roadworks on Mill Street in Crediton, Meeting Lane in Lympstone, and Church Lane in Heavitree.
All the resurfacing projects will involve some traffic restrictions or closures, but only for a few days.
