British Transport Police are investigating a series of incidents in which objects were deliberately placed on the railway line in the Newton St Cyres area.
Trains have hit road signs and cones on the track near the village and also a few miles away at Yeoford.
No-one's been hurt but police say the culprits are endangering those on board the trains - as well as putting their own safety at risk.
