VIDEO: Children escape serious injury
Police have thanked the public for their patience after a key road in Newton Abbot was closed on Thursday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash involving a school bus.
The vehicle with 40 children on board left the road and hit a wall at the junction of Ashburton Road and the A382 Bovey Tracey Road in the town at around 3.40 p.m.
It's believed that a large number of people saw the incident involving a grey single-decker coach.
The male driver and all the children were evacuated safely, with no serious injuries.
Police would like to thank the members of public for their patience whilst an investigation of the scene was completed.
