Police are investigating three arson attacks in Exeter.
Trees in the garden of a house in Mayflower Avenue in Pennsylvania were set on fire twice during two nights this week, and a hedge just a few feet from a house in Summerway was also set alight.
The hedge was burning fiercely and the incident's being treated as arson with intent to endanger life.
The fire service says setting fires to trees or hedges is a serious offence as the flames can easily spread to nearby buildings.
