VIDEO: Some in, some out, but all attract attention
A dozen cruise ships are now anchored off the Devon and Dorset coast, as space to dock is in short supply as the tour industry continues to be impacted by the coronavirus crisis.
Some of the vessels would normally have 4,000 people on board. Right now, a skeleton crew of around 100 keep the ships ship-shape. Occasionally some make the trip to Southampton and back again, to ensure engines get exercise.
The ships have given a boost to some local tourism businesses, which are taking visitors out to see them up close.
