They were beating around the bush
Devon and Cornwall Police has come to the rescue of a truckload of Father Christmases stuck in a hedge.
The naughty Santas, who were believed to have been on a pub crawl, tipped their vintage armoured vehicle over at Marsh Lane, Hayle.
Police were called around 7.40 p.m. on Thursday to reports of an incident in the Cornish town.
No Santas, elves or other associated festive characters, are said to have been arrested.
Ian Jepson, who took footage of the blocked lane, told reporters the lane was blocked for around two hours and that the Santas were on an annual pub crawl.
“They shot past me singing and we later found them stuck where the lane narrows," he said. "They were quite tightly jammed but it says no parking."
