The farmer called crews after finding the bull up to his neck in the slurry pit.
The Special Rescue Unit from Exmouth Fire Station were sent to help.
Crews made the area safe and worked with the farmer to apply a head harness and keep the animal calm. The bull was released from the slurry pit using specialist rescue equipment and the farmers tele-handler.
