Topsham's badly damaged Goat Walk should be restored in time for the Easter weekend.
The surface paving was washed away by high water whipped up by gales in February.
The county council is starting work to repair it and much of the work will be completed by next weekend - however it'll have to be closed again afterwards for the finishing touches.
