More than 7,340 children have used a foodbank in Devon in the last year, according to a charity that provides emergency food supplies.
The Trussell Trust has today released figures which show that the number of people using food banks in Devon has risen by nearly 12 % in the last year.
More than 22,360 people were handed food donations in the last 12 months in the county and a third of those were children.
The charity says the majority of those using the banks are people receiving benefits as they struggle with the rising costs of living.
