£4,300 worth stolen from three vehicles, all owned by same person
Police are seeking witnesses after three transit vans were targeted for power tools in Barnstaple.
The vans were broken into in a car park near the rear service entrance to PC World in Station Road between 5 pm on Friday 29 June and 6 pm on Sunday 1 July. Vehicle locks were cut and around £4,300 worth of power tools were taken from the vehicles which all belong to the same owner.
The amber beacon light from the top of one of the van was also taken.
Police ask anyone who saw anything suspicious over the weekend to contact them.
Van owners are advised to remove all tools from their vehicles while unattended overnight and to park their vehicles under street lights/in brightly lit areas if possible. Police also want owners to fit additional locks and to consider marking tools and equipment with distinctive marking.
