Police appeal for witnesses
A cyclist has serious injuries following a collision in Torquay on Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident involving a car and a bicycle on Beechfield Avenue in town around 8.15 a.m.
A local woman in her forties was initially taken to Torbay Hospital by ambulance before being transferred to Derriford for further treatment.
It took nearly six hours for the road to be reopened.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information or dashcam footage that could help the police with their enquiries.
