Exeter city centre traders have been hearing how they'd benefit from the setting up of a Business Improvement District or BID.
It's a scheme in which they each contribute a small amount - proportionate to their rateable value - and the money is spent on improvements to their trading area, or their marketing, in a way they choose.
An event's been held where they met the chief executive of the Bath BID which is now in its third year.
Andrew Cooper told them the great thing about it is the freedom it gives traders to drive forward the changes they want to see.
