Sidmouth lifeboat assists Lyme Regis crew
Two people have been brought back safely to shore at Sidmouth following a rescue in Lyme Bay on Friday evening.
Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat was asked to help the RNLI crew from Lyme Regis with the transfer of casualties from a vessel under tow.
Using the Sea Rider (Sidmouth 2, the Sidmouth team, which isn't part of the RNLI, rendezvoused with Lyme Regis lifeboat.
The two casualties are said to be tired, but otherwise well.
The Sidmouth crew was Tony Martin, Guy Bennett in the lifeboat, supported on dry land by Jim Brewster, Toby Hoggarth, Ed Birch, Paul May, Andy Mitchell and Si Priestley.
