Police say they've had several reports of thefts from vehicles in Exeter's Pinhoe area.
In particular, vans parked near building sites are being targeted, with tools being stolen.
But police are advising all vehicle owners to park in well-lit and highly visible areas and not leave any valuables inside where they can be seen.
