A public inquiry into the case for a community field in Exeter to receive Village Green status has come to an end.
The inquiry into the proposed designation for Eastern Field in Pinhoe has lasted about a month.
Local residents have applied for the centuries-old status to protect the land, which is owned by the city council, from development, and safeguard it for public recreation.
The campaigners now have to wait up to three months for a decision and are continuing to fundraise to pay for their legal costs.
