She was trapped in car
A 51-year-old woman has life-threatening injuries ollowing a single-vehicle collision in Ashburton on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to an unclassified road at Whistley Hill in the town around 10.10 a.m. Fire crews from Ashburton and Buckfasteigh, together with an incident support vehicle from Bovey Tracey went to the scene, where a car was on its side with the woman trapped inside. She was treated by paramedics before being flown to Derriford by Devon Air Ambulance.
The road between the A38 and Woodland was closed for some time.
Police are trying to establish the nature of her journey and would like anyone who have information about the incident to contact them on 101.
