Cause to be investigated
A woman was taken into custody following a fire at a flat in Crediton on Sunday evening.
Multiple calls were made to emergency services around 6.45p about the blaze in Newcombes, which were initially thought to involve someone trapped inside.
Once fire crews arrived, they confirmed it was clear of people.
The fire was in the living room in the flat, which was badly damaged. The rest of the property was seriously affected by smoke damage.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue say they will investigate the cause today.
