45 year old Naomi Spencer has received a bravery award from the British Transport Police this morning for putting herself at risk to keep other passengers safe.
She was travelling home from Exeter on a busy commuter train when two groups of men, who'd clashed in a pub earlier, encountered one another on board and a violent situation began to develop.
Her intervention did calm the situation and the youths were dealt with by the transport police.
