An Exmouth woman who sold fake and unsafe cosmetics over eBay has today been given a four month suspended prison sentence.
Deborah Hamber had pleaded guilty to six offences relating to the supply of counterfeit and unsafe goods at an earlier hearing, in the prosecution brought by Trading Standards.
She'd been using two separate eBay accounts to sell fakes of brands including Lancome and Benefit.
One mascara she sold was found to contain twice the permitted levels of lead.
