Police in Exeter are investigating a 'hate crime' incident in the city centre - and are appealing for witnesses.
A woman was walking in Sidwell Street with her nine year old son when she was subjected to what's being described as racial and religiously-motivated verbal abuse, by another woman.
She's described as white, in her 20s, with short brown hair and thick-rimmed glasses, wearing a pink top and jeans.
The incident happened on October 21st but police have only just released details.
They're also keen to trace a man who comforted the victim afterwards.
