The charity running a hostel for vulnerable women in Exeter says it's seen increased demand for its help, following the closure of the local women's refuge.
The Esther Community in St David's Hill looks after women fleeing domestic abuse - and those with mental health or addiction problems.
It's run by the Keychange charity and many of its staff are volunteers.
The charity is appealing for more money and public support, to enable it to continue its much-needed work.
