Many disability benefit claimants in Exeter are wrongly having their applications turned down, according to the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Their eligibility has been re-assessed under reforms to the welfare state and they've been rejected - only to have that decision overturned when the CAB helps them lodge an appeal.
The chief executive of the CAB Steve Barriball says the assessment process should be getting better.. but the ongoing public sector cuts are also leading to long administrative delays..
