The role played by Polish soldiers in protecting Exeter during the second world war is being recognised today.
307 Polish Squadron were part of the RAF - they were night fighters who fought the German bombers and prevented Exeter from being destroyed during a blitz in 1942.
Today the Polish flag is being raised over the Guildhall, where an exhibition has been held since Thursday.
Relatives of squadron members will also meet the Lord Mayor.
