Building a better relationship with nature (with LEGO!)

Centre-space Tiverton, Tiverton, EX16 6NH

Although we often think of people as being separate from nature, humans have both influenced, and been influenced by, a long history of close relationships with our environment and the organisms with which we share it. This session will use the LEGO Serious Play technique to explore some remarkable human-nature interactions around the world and help participants build -- literally! -- a new understanding of how humans can coexist with our wild neighbours in a more sustainable way. The event will be of particular interest to those who would like to explore different ways of seeing, appreciating, and engaging with nature; it is also great for creative types who enjoy communicating visually -- or who just like to play with LEGO!

Participants will be able to sign up for one of three sessions (running between 10 and 4:30) on the day. Content and activities will be appropriate for approximately ages 8+. Light refreshments will be available at each session, and all participants will be provided with LEGO that they can take home with them at the end of the session.
