Join medical herbalist, Yasmin Kerr, at Sacred Grounds for a wholesome evening of meditation and plant medicine.
Explore the traditional practice of organoleptics as Yasmin guides you through an intuitive "blind" tea tasting.
Each evening, we will taste one plant anonymously, tasting each tea with stillness and intention. We will question where the herb travels to in our bodies, what memories it awakens, and more. Once having met the plant and recorded our individual thoughts we will then open the floor to a group discussion, sharing and comparing our findings.
Yasmin will then reveal the herb in question and discuss its historic and modern uses in Western Herbal Medicine.
From this activity, we will develop a deeper relationship and understanding with the plants and our bodies.
Guests are welcome to stay for some delicious vegan refreshments and nibbles after the tea tastings.
Depending on the month, we would like to encourage a plant, seed, or book swap! For our September event, please feel free to bring seeds to swap with a new friend (November 12th = book swap).
We look forward to sharing this space with you.
Facilitator: Yasmin Kerr, founder of Honeysuckle Herbal, is a Medical Herbalist practicing in Exeter and Topsham.
