Jim Payne: award-winning singer, multi-instrumentalist,
step-dancer, researcher, songwriter and raconteur,
is one of Newfoundland’s finest folk musicians and an
authority on its history and culture.
A friend of the Devonshire Association, Jim is an outstanding performer. Many members will recall his unforgettable presentation in County Hall at the Devon–Newfoundland symposium in 2017 and his performances all over Devon with Paul Wilson and Marilyn Tucker in that summer.
