Community Rallies for Cancer Resilience at Exeter Wellbeing Event
Exeter, UK — Exeter is gearing up for a landmark community celebration of strength, support, and survivorship as more than 40 local charities, healthcare teams, and community groups unite for the Cancer Health and Wellbeing Event, taking place 13 May 2026 at Exeter City Football Club.
Organised by the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with the Exeter Primary Care Network (PCN) and Exeter City Football Club, the event promises to be the largest gathering of cancer support organisations in the region—bringing hope, knowledge, and practical help directly to people living with and beyond cancer.
As cancer survivorship continues to rise, so too does the need for accessible wellbeing support. Many patients and their families face challenges around lifestyle changes, emotional health, financial pressures, and navigating local services. This community driven fair aims to meet those needs head on.
Stepping into the stadium, visitors will be met by a over 40 stalls, featuring national and local charities, community groups, financial advice services, and providers of complementary therapies. Attendees can take part in healthy eating demos, guided relaxation, gentle movement sessions, and speak directly with professionals who can help them improve their wellbeing throughout and after treatment.
“This event shows what Exeter does best—coming together,” organisers said. “Cancer affects people far beyond the hospital walls, and this fair ensures no one has to face those challenges alone.”
Key partners include FORCE, ELF, and a wide range of community organisations working collaboratively to empower patients, reduce isolation, and celebrate the growing number of people living well with and after cancer. Hosting the fair at Exeter City Football Club underscores the city’s commitment to making support accessible, welcoming, and rooted in the heart of the community.
For patients, families, and supporters across the South West, the Cancer Health & Wellbeing Fair is more than an event—it’s a message of hope.
Thank you
