Denomination can't be spent after New Year's Eve, but could become collectors' item
If you've got a particular Exeter pound note in your wallet, it's time to spend it - or save it forever.
The £15 version of the local currency can't be used after New Year's Eve.
They're limited edition notes - and organisers think many of them will be kept as souvenirs.
About £30,000 worth of Exeter Pounds are now in circulation, although the company behind the scheme can't say how many of the special £15 notes are amongst them.
Director Gill Westcott says because the money can only be used in selected local shops, spending them is good for Exeter's economy.
