An action group's been set up to explore how Exeter city council will deal with the loss of the local Women's Refuge.
It's being closed down after the county's domestic violence service was contracted out to a charity which doesn't want to keep the refuge going.
The action group involves the city councillor for housing, a member of the local SAFE partnership for domestic violence victims, and the chair of the former domestic violence service, Jill Owen.
She's deeply concerned about the loss of the refuge and says without it, local councils will have to provide emergency accommodation.
