A heroin addict has been jailed for attacking a wheelchair-bound man in Exmouth town centre.
Exeter Crown Court heard that 24 year old Mark Gillham of Mountain Close had an ongoing dispute with the victim Damon Wannell - and had harassed him in his home the night before the assault.
Gillham was caught on CCTV as he dragged Mr Wannell's wheelchair towards a flower bed, poured hot coffee over him and climbed on to the chair before punching him.
The attack only ended when staff from nearby shops intervened.
Gillham, who was already on bail for a bungled burglary and another attack, was jailed for two years.
