Motorcyclist has life-changing leg injuries
An early-morning collision in Newton About has serious life-changing leg injuries following a crash in Newton Abbot last Friday.
The 51-year-old from Buckfastleigh and a VW Golf collided around 6.50 am on Ashburton Road. He was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. The man driving the car has minor injuries.
An HGV also hit the motorcycle immediately after the original collision. This vehicle suffered minor damage but the driver was unhurt.
If you witnessed the collision, please contact police on 101, quoting incident 114 of 14 September. Calls cost 15 pence. Police have thanked the public for their patience following the crash, following which the road was closed for investigations.
